Welcome to Approach Productions! Here at Approach, it is my goal to produce, capture, and deliver high quality videos that you and your friends and family will cherish forever.

A little about myself, My name is Pete Garsow and I am a freelance videographer and editor specializing in narrative filmmaking, weddings, music videos, and highlight reels. I am a graduate of  The University of  Wisconsin-Superior with a degree in Digital Cinema Over the course of my college career, I wrote, produced, and edited 4 films. My senior capstone film, "Burning Memories" won a 2014 Upper Midwest Regional Student Production Award presented by the National Academy of  Television Arts and Science. "Burning Memories" also premiered at The Big Water Film Festival in 2014 and received a honorable mention at the Highway 61 Film Festival. After college, I worked for 3 years at WDIO Television in Duluth where I was a Production Technician, Technical Director, and Audio Engineer. In 2018, I accepted a job at Itasca Community Television and Two Rivers Video where I am a currently  a Lead Video Producer. I am also the director of the award winning music show "47 North".

Approach Productions got its start after college, several friends asked if I would be willing to film their wedding and after 7 months of saving, Approach Productions was born in 2014. As of 2021, Approach Productions has filmed 17 weddings using different packages with the "Approach" package being the most popular. 

I chose the name "approach" for my business from a film making term referring to how a story, documentary or narrative is told on screen. When I approach a project, I look beyond the lens and look at what the true meaning of what I am capturing on film. I then take a "real life" approach to a project to ensure that my client is more than satisfied with the final product and that each time they watch the final product, they are taken back to their special day.

Approach Productions offers services in wedding videography, sports highlight reels, social media videos , music videos and any special occasion that requires videography. Whether it's birthday parties, graduation ceremonies, photo slideshows, school plays, and anything in between. We are always missing out on precious memories because we are too busy trying to take pictures or videotaping. My main objective is to let you be able to enjoy your special occasion and let me create a memory in your life that you and your loved ones will cherish forever!
